Introduction
- Our history curriculum is designed to help pupils gain a coherent knowledge and understanding of Britain’s past and that of the wider world.
- Our aim is to help children understand the broader abstract ideas used commonly in the teaching of history, those of chronology, legacy, influence and power, trade and transport, empire, and civilisations. Explicit teaching of these concepts are threaded throughout our curriculum to help children grasp a broader understanding of the subject and make clearer links between topics.
